Otim is focusing on the control of each stage of the production process, which is synonymous with quality for the company. Any metal coming in is always accompanied by the certificate. During the production phase they have separate labels: registration cards, cards that define the operation of the machine and the type of checks to be carried out with related reference dimensions and tolerances.

The staff performs the checks on the particulars are through, not only the traditional measurement tools, but also an enlarger of profiles with diameter 500, magnifying glasses 1 to 10 and from 1 to 5, an electronic altimeter 0-600 mm.

The next target of Otim will be to certify the entire production facility.


Cutting Bergamo
Otim performs the shearing of particular in iron, steel, copper, brass, bronze, making use of block or progressive moulds also for high volumes.

The machinery sector is comprised of clutch presses from 20 to 315 tons, with almost all of them being PLC integrated for the adjustment and recognition of the moulds in order to shorten the set-up.

Interlocks supplied allow us to produce details of various sizes, starting from ribbons from 0:23 x 8 mm up to 550 x 700 x 5 mm and 2 mm.

Otim is equipped to carry out automated deep drawing on different materials, making use of 100, 200 and 300 tonne hydraulic presses, equipped with a PLC for controlling the speed of deep drawing, pressure of the sliding plane and that of the pressing-holding element, with depression electronics. Such technology allows, varying the pressure of the pressing-sheet during the deep drawing, to produce highly complex parts, the implementation of which would require otherwise of dimples in multiple steps.
Each press is provided with transference single bar with steps adjustable from 0 to 1000 mm.


Otim performs trimming processing on the sheet, cold deformation or cutting of the work piece, without chip removal. The machine which makes use of the company to perform this type of processing is able to perform machining operations of trimming and edging even simultaneously with moulding, curling, flanging, hemming, seaming of different thicknesses, assembly of parts of different material. Such operations are performed on round pieces up to a diameter of 1200 mm, of square pieces with the side up to 800 mm and of rectangular work pieces with dimensions up to 700 x 800 mm.

Otim is also equipped to carry out assembly, using 5 welders:

from a 12Kw to cabinet, from a 25Kw arms, from a 50Kw, by a 140kW, a newly installed from 120kW coupled to a robot for the automatic loading and unloading of the pieces.


Our company is concerned to check directly all stages of the production process:

• input of material, strictly accompanied by quality certificate
• production, using cards that define the machine adjustments
• type of operation to be performed, complete with details of the relevant reference dimensions and tolerances
• registration cards

In addition to the normal measuring instruments, for our quality controls on details also we have recourse to a magnifying profiles of diameter 500 with magnifying glasses 1 to 10 and 1 to 5 and to an electronic altimeter 0-600 mm.
